NEED EXHAUST CLIPS!

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

NEED EXHAUST CLIPS!

Post by supertrick_05 » Sat Apr 22, 2006 10:36 am

I'm looking for any sound clips/movies of 2000+ Neon exhausts, preferably non-turbo'd. I'm wanting an exhaust, but I don't want a lot of popping/crackling and a nice, deep tone. If you have any clips of ur exhaust, PLEA$E post them! Thanks a lot!

you dont want my exhaust then, it backfires quite a bit when down shifting, especially when the motor hasnt warmed up all the way. it loud as shit at WOT but surprisingly quiet when cruising on or off the throttle. I find it a bit TOO quiet sometimes, but I think its just a matter of the way the sound gets into the cockpit, cuz people have told me it sounds great and is pretty deep and loud outside. anyways, I dont have a sound clip, but it pretty much sounds like pure heaven so picture that :D

ps how exactly would i get a sound clip of my exhaust/car? what would I used to record and how is it uploaded onto the computer? couple people have asked for a clip of my car so I want to get it on here. thx'

Its pretty crappy vid and the sound is distorted from being compressed, but you get the idea.
Plus its a custom one of a kind exhaust, so it probably doesn't help you one bit. lol

Here is what my R/t sounded like.( 28" glasspack, custom y-pipe.)

Here is what my srt sounds like.(2.5" mid pipe to stock rear section.)

I really need either a 3" turbo back($800) or just a 3" downpipe with an electric cutout(~$300)...guess what I am going to choose ;) lol

I use putfile. But might start using photobucket since that is where I have my photos at.

Hi everyone, just bought my neon a couple of months ago. Been lurking on the forum ever since. Here are some clips of my exhaust. It's a magnaflow muffler. The second clip is what it sounds like when driving (sorry about the video, it's kinda hard to shift and film at the same time :) ).

^sounds great, a lot like mine, except mine grumbles and backfires a lot more. I love how neons sound like little muscle cars with a good exhaust!

^this is one of mine, but the camera made it sound kinda sketch. you have to hear it in person!

edit: oh and excuse my DIRTY ASS car and exhaust, it hasnt been washed in 2 months due to our on off bad weather and my lack of time to do it when it IS nice out. Wish i had a better way to record sound that camera doesnt do it justice.

I don't know it off hand. I went to a muffler shop to get it done. I have to wait until monday to call them up and get the part number.

if you could that would be great. The sound on it is absolutely great!

I just put a used R/T muffler on but its quite rusted. The magnaflow is definetely on my list to replace it.

Does anyone have a clip of an SRT exhaust on a 2.0 with some kind of muffler/resonator? I am getting an SRT exhaust with 1000 miles on it for FREE! I'd like to hear how it sounds...and yes, I have done a search and couldn't find much.
