Post by 2.4swapped01 » Sun Apr 23, 2006 1:37 am

im tired of my blown ass stock struts and huge wheel gap so ive decided its time to drop the car. im wanting a smooth ride and only like an inch and a half drop (dont wanna tear up the bodykit). ive been leaning towards tein h techs with the kybs from modern. i am open to all suggestions and info because id like to do this right the first time.

I have Koni Sport strut catridges already installed in the OEM strut housings, for sale. They have 7000kms on the rears, and 3000 on the fronts.

I'm asking US$460 firm for these. They are the best strut to date for our car, comes with a lifetime factory warranty. They are fully adjustable in dampening.

I also have coilovers that i am throwing in for free if wanted. They are basically dropzone knock offs. Front spring compression is 450PSI, and rears are 350PSI. They are ment for 0-4inch drops. They are very still though, so they might not be right for your application.

Either way, i'm asking US$460 complete. I paid CA$900 for these new.

Anyways, pm me if you are interested

Darren

There is a fella on r3vlimited.com doing a GB for the BMW guys there. He's doing Koni and Ground Control. I asked him if he'd be willing to get prices on Neon stuff also.... he came back with 850 for Koni Sports and GC coilovers. Not a bad price considering that all retails for 1200-1300. His AIM name is C3 Motorsport if you want to get in touch with him.

If you want a stock ride and a small drop like that just switch out for srt-4 springs+struts.

Oh, i thought the srt struts would drop it a lil more. plus he said he needed new struts anyways. But i've got coilovers. I don't know too about swapping out for stockers. All I know is that I hated trying to lift my stock setup out of the well. ofcourse i'm not a muscular guy.

Stock SRT struts with stock SRT springs raises you from stock SXT or SE height by about an inch. I've got 4 fingers of wheel well gap at the moment and I'm runnin stock SRT suspension on 205/40 17's.

I liked my eibach pros and tokico hp blues combo. Might sell it soon too, since the car is totaled.

Get the Tokico setup dude. The KYB's are basically OEM replacements and will blow with a 1.5 inch drop. The Tokicos on the other hand can handle a 2'' drop very well and last a long time. I currently have the Tokico springs and struts and got a 1.5 inch drop all for like $380 shipped. Brand new of course.
