Wheels

I am in need of some light weight rims. The SSR's looks nice, so do the Kosie K1's. Anybody know of any other wheels that are light weight

I would prefer some 15's, but 16's will do fine.

5zigen makes some decent wheels, as does velox. i have the fno1r-c's in 17's and they weigh 16lbs. my buddie has some velox vx6r's in 17's that also weigh 16lbs. velox also has some badass forged wheels. it all depends how much you want to spend. if you want light, get forged. ssr, velox, rays engineering, or 5zigen all make some forged wheels, but forged wheels carry a pretty high price. about 16-17lbs for a 17 is pretty decent. going from my stock r/t's to my 5zigens i didnt notice loss in acceleration, maybe even a slight gain. there was a good buyers guide in sport compact car and turbo magazine that listed price weight and available sizes of a bunch of different wheels.

though i have no personal experience in this department like spacemanchiff, i think the kosei's are probably the best deal. they are just as light as the wheels he referred to (15x7 at 13.5 lbs, and 17x7.5 at 16 lbs.), and are pretty reasonable priced at $129 for the 15 and $179 for the 17 (from the tirerack). plus, i think the K1s in a white finish might look really good against the atlantic blue paint on your car.

Yeah, I have been leaning towards the Kosie K1's too, the SSR's are way to expensive for me. I want to go with a darker color though, I have had silver rims on my car for almost 2 years, white might be an exception though, that could look nice. I will have to go to tire rack and put the Kosie's on my car and see wha they look like. Kind of sucks they don't have atlantic blue for a color though.

yea, i noticed that also. rather sucks that tirerack doesn't keep more images on their car database.

Yeah, Patriot Plue is close enough, I like both the white and the gun metal on my car. Now it's a descicion between those 2.

Don't even get me started on Rota's. I was going to get slipstreams like a year ago. I must have called MachIII.net every week to see if they got the 5x100 one sin, but they never did. Now, there is a group buy for slipstreams and I don't have the money right now. I will have the money in about a month, if it is still going then.

Im a big fan of Koseis.

Friend of mine had, and traded his 17s. Another friend of mine now has them. Theyre pretty light and they look good.

Ive got a set of 15"s.. two brand new, and two with some M/T slicks on them. (still need to buy two more for a set of track tires). Even with slicks mounted on them, the overall package isnt too heavy.

Looks like it's Kosie's for my nexy wheels. I just got to wait for my tire for my snowflake, put the snowflakes on, sell the motegi's, the get the Kosie's.

i too was looking at the kosei's but also the fno1r-c's. then an awesome deal came up on my 5zigens so i bought them. i would go kosei's in either the anthracite that tirerack supposedly has (shows them on the site, but no option to buy) or silver. i dont like white wheels

ooh, yea, if anthracite is available, those would work better. they'd match up against the tint and CF hood you've got danny.

All our K1s are silver. I like them, but Id probably rock some 17"s on my car in anthracite.

Take lots of pics whenever you get them. Then we'll DEFINATLY have to find some freakin time to meet up. lol.

Hahaha, I just need to find a stock snowflake tire, would you happen to have any Mopar00neon?
