Reminds me of the time I sent a cookie with a bite taken out of it to a friend of mine in bootcamp. I had no idea that was contraband and that the instrutors opend your package. So they made him do push ups to get the cookie out of the bag while only using his mouth.

its about 100 of crap removed. and if you're sitting in the front, you cant tell.

i still have a good 50 or so more until it starts getting harder/expensive.

but lemme tell you. .its addicting. my car feels sooo much better. on top of the crap i removed i also had some misc junk in the car. and with everything out im finding myself more and more suprised at my brakes. i stop at a light now like 10 feet before the line

what i'm wondering is why they didn't remove the door panels.
even if they wanted to keep them on the front door,
why not at least remove the rear panels?

True, but why add more weight with the "custom console?" If I was gonna strip mine....id leave the bare shifter showing.

oh. holy hell. that's the interior of the SRT-4 Extreme (yes, i'm slow. i just clicked the link to the article danny posted). here's a little snipet...
A big part of the speed here is courtesy of the unobtainable Mopar diet. A small crew of fabricators and engineers were responsible for finishing this car for the SEMA show in 2003 and had plenty of DaimlerChrysler resources at their disposal. O.E. levels of refinement are obvious in the quality of the final product. The doors, for example, look exactly like the stock doors inside and out--until you try to shut one and it doesn't have enough momentum to compress the seal and engage the lock mechanism. Body panels of this weight and quality are rare in the aftermarket.

The hood, doors, rear fascia and diffuser were all made of hand-laid and vacuum-bagged carbon fiber in the DaimlerChrysler plastics shop. So were the front fascia and splitter, which include brake duct cutouts. The decklid was hand-laid and bagged, then cooked in the autoclave at Multimatic, Inc.
and oh yea, the thing weighs 2495 lbs. so as far as that custom console goes, it's probably aluminum, and is obviously hiding something important (doesn't say anything about it in the article). just my guess though from looking at that little red button on there. i'm no expert on the SRT-4 upgrades, but is that button on the console related to the turbo toys?

looks like you've got a lot more work to do louie.

i can see that console weighing more than the stock one.. heavist part on the stock one is the little lid.
