SXT with SRT exhaust *UPDATED VIDEOS*
These clips should help a lot of people with the question everyone wants to know: "What does an N/A Neon sound like with the SRT-4 exhaust?" Well this post will answer that question very well. I got an SRT-4 exhaust system for FREE this weekend, so I slapped on the rear section (the mid-pipe section will not do anything much to the sound...will sound just as loud as the stock SXT midpipe) and went to take some videos. I took three videos...one of the camera hanging out of the driver's window while under WOT, one of my friend recording me taking off under WOT, and one of me driving up to him and revving. This should be very helpful to you all who have been asking what it sounds like. I hope you all enjoy!

Now THESE ones are of my car with the 25" Thrush glasspack I took today. It's a lot more mellow, but I still want it quieter...

Ok, got one video up right now...waiting for the others to be approved and I'll post them tomorrow morning hopefully!. Honestly, I think it sounded kinda cool, but I can't stand it being that loud. I got a 25" Thrush glasspack in the midpipe right now, and it didn't quiet it down much...I'm thinkin a 31" Cherry Bomb would tone it down nicely, and I still have to get those Crossfire tips and put those out the middle!

Alright, all videos are up! Enjoy!
p.s. 03blackrt, I did like the sound, but it was too loud for me and I don't wanna get harrassed by the cops, so I'm putting a 31" Cherry Bomb glasspack in there.

I had the exact same setup except with a 31" glasspack and the sound is perfect. You'll love it!

Ok, will do! Ya know, I absolutely LOVE how it sounds right now...outside the car. Inside is another story...the drone is WAY too much for me. I'll get the 31" on in a few weeks...maybe sooner?

Hey prolly a nub question btw. I live in Wisconsin and i have a 05 neon sxt atx. I was wondering if i were to just get the back section with out anything else like glasspack would it be to loud it would be illegal?

2.8 - Meth - ZZP Header/DP - gmpp Caback - Injen CAI - 2 step colder plugs - 60# injecotrs - Z speed Tuned
So if i have a glasspack in like the middle under my car and then connect the rea section to that it would be okay?
aight i drew a basic diogram to make sure im correct becuase i am new to this. So tell me if i am correct or what is wrong.
damn i noticed it was really small so
blue=stock exhaust pipe
black=glasspack
red=SRT rear section

05neonsxt, I'm pretty sure that's the way most people do it. Just patch a glasspack into the straight section of stock exhaust.
supertrick_05, Damn! I love that crackle! Too bad the glasspack made it go away. I'm sure you'll be grateful for it on long trips, though. I'd love for my car to sound that way, but I dunno if I'd want it to be that way all the time. I can't imagine driving down to SC this summer with that kinda drone, probably couldn't hear myself think.

Ifixyawata, I still have a slight crackle...especially when I'm downshifting...she crackles pretty good! LoL! yeah, it sounds PERFECT outside the car, but inside it's really FRICKIN annoying, and I'm hoping to get a big Magnaflow round resonator in the midsection to quiet it down.

These pics are after I put just the rear section on...after we put the resonator on, we twisted the exhaust a bunch and it's not even CLOSE to centered, and we bent the hangers so that the tips aren't touching the bumper anymore (melted a couple little marks in the bumper, but hardly noticeable)...but this gives you an idea...

Well, to add to a previously existing post I put a few short vids of my exhaust up. Some noise and static from the camera moving around, and the youtube uploads don't have the movie and the sound sync'd worth two shits.
Pulling out of university parking lot
City traffic
1/2 throttle ish on transcanada highway - Around 60mph
city cruise
SRT exhaust w/ stock resonators removed and a 2.5" X 29.5" glasspack installed.
