With the help of my 2gn nggas, I went out and bought some audio stuff today.

I got a Alpine deck that plays CD's/mp3's/wma's/ipod ready. I also bout some 6.5" alpine front and some Alpine 6x9's for the back.

All together it came out to 540, but I talked him down to 450 with installation.

It sounds awesome, such clarity and defination. The only thing is I realized how much I need subs now

you should get some 3.5's for the dash

And if you get subs, go ahead and get an amp for the speakers too. That way its all powered and sounds good

I'm not sure what I want, I have always stuck with JL audio, and kind of don't want to steer in another direction, but JL's are so expensive.

What would u recommend, preferably two 12's

i have 2 blaupunkt 12's, running off only 220 watts each and they hit a lot harder than i thought. either way i'm really happy with them. oh and they're in a sealed box.

talk to NITEHAWK on here he owns his own audio business...and i have a system in my car that he recommended,, it pounds sooooo hard that i set car alarms off, rattle businesses windows, and knock stuff of shelves inside houses...

he can hook u up with whatever u need

I just have a single JL12w0 in my car powered by a Pyramid 1000w amp. It's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. I bought the sub used from a friend for $50 and paid $80 (new) for the amp.

I just talked to nitehawk, and he gave me some good prices on some Niche subs, but I have never heard them.

And for around the same price, I can go JL again.

niche is what i have in my car.. super awesome subs and amps, pound the hell outta everything, they were ALOT louder then my old JL's i had...

there are other sub companies out there than can compare to JL without the JL price. companies such as RE Audio, Sound Splitter, and some others i dont remember.

but dannyboy since i know your from the bay area like me, there is always jl audio for sale on CL all the time

Audio Pipe Eye Candies, people say they blow easy, but if u have the right amp to push them they are by far the best beat for the buck...
theres a small series that i ran with a 2000 watt 2 channel amp about a year ago, and i hit 139 on the SPL meter with the small series, these are the ones im gettin next, they come in Blue, Yellow, Red, and Green...
