Post by Knightryda » Mon May 15, 2006 6:06 pm

How do i adjust my e-brake? just wondering cause i put new brake pads on the rear and my e-brake still goes as far up as it can go.

You turn the star wheel through the little hole in the back of the backing plate. There is a little rubber plug you take out then turn it til its tight but not rubbing. O and your brake pas have nothing to do with the e-brake. They are shoes inside the rotor.

The rear brakes themselves aren't even self-adjusting? Sheesh, my '85 T-bird even has that.
