Post by schwaluki » Wed May 17, 2006 9:35 am

I am really thinking about getting a 8" or 10" bazooka sub, i dont really like the BIG ass systems that rock your car to pieces, but i just want to add some bass you know, so im thinking the bazooka sub would be great

If you have one, what size do you have, how do you like it, and where did you mount it? Pictures would be REALLY cool, thanks

From what I hear, people on here hate them. I had one 10 years ago in a hatch. Back then, I thought it was nice. It's better than no bass. They are very efficient. However, I've since been using sealed. For the same price, or less, you can have a nicer, larger sub, in a sealed or ported enclosure.

Not enough bang for the buck IMO. They dont soudn all that great and as he korey said, for the same price you can get a better sub in a ported/sealed box.

PepBoys sells a sub, box and amp for $70 I think. It's 2-300 watts, 10" sub in a sealed box, if memory serves. $70 for that plus $30 or less for a wiring kit and you can have better, cleaner bass and it won't even take up much space.

Now I would pick a bazooka tube over a Pep Boys Rampage/Sparkomatic (or whatever brand it is?) setup....

were just saying that there are better deals for better stuff than the bazooka, any sub/amp you get can be tuned to the leves you want your bass at. I change my sub levels in my car when i have friends w/ me casue they like lotta bass, and they bring rap cds w/ them  i listen to alot of rock, so i have the bass down a bit.
