yup... from making the bigger parts i end up with tons of various cloth chunks that i either keep, or throw away if they're too small, so that'd be perfect for small stuff like this.

i'm curious....

so far, the fit from the 3 A pillars i made isnt exactly perfect, because stock they fit in so close to the dash.... i was thinking of making full CF A-pillars so the fit would be flush, but that would take 3 layers, and obviously more work.... would you want to pay a little more for that or would it not be worth it? If you say NO dont worry, i'm thinking of ways around this and have a couple ideas that i'll be trying when i get back....
a little sand paper would fix that.. take the sand paper to the dash...

that's why i'm here kicking it in the sun and relaxing for a couple weeks, so i can dive head first into this when i come back  the last few months for me had been crazy busy, and doing this stuff on the side didnt help one bit... i really needed some time away from it all

hahaha, that was one of the options i was considering   but i find it very hard to tell people that they would have to do that in order to make them fit. i would definately have second thoughts about buying something like that, and i'm sure all of you work just as hard for your money as me, and would probably think the same way... dont worry, i'll have something good for you guys by the end... till then, hopefully i can keep you interested with other cool stuff

UPDATE:

-made the first set of sidemarker deletes and they turned out great... right now i'm working on making molds in order to start true mass production of these suckers... INFO: 6layers fiberglass, 2 layers CF, 2-3 coats of clear gell... this makes them almost the exact width of the stockers, and therefor they fit flush on the bumper (aprox retail 40-50 shipped anywhere)

-finished making a fiberglass mold for the wrap around chin for the SRT front bumper (2 layers S2 fiberglass, one layer CF, aprox 125-150) .... will start work on a few sets for local SRT guys and then they'll be up for sale for the rest of the world... since i'm having a hard time getting more cf, i will make something almost identical to the kaminary lip out of S2 fiberglass, that people can paint... it'll cost more, but it'll be functional

http://www.modernperformance.com/dcx/ka ... t_lip5.jpg

-foglight surrounds >>starting work on them tonight as i have LOTS of requests locally, but will definately start making them, and they'll be aprox 60-70 shipped

-my clear resin and gel should arrive this week, so i will also work on finishing off the C pillar covers i started.... this means, one more layer of CF to the current layer, this time with clear epoxy and gel... i have about 8 sets (4 definately spoken for).... $100

NO NEW PICTURES UNTIL I HAVE FINISHED PRODUCTS... NEXT TIME YOU SEE A PICTURE, THE ITEM WILL BE FOR SALE :) keep on looking, other updates to come

no need too... i'm making outer and inner molds for my big stuff like front chin, trunk replacement and fenders, so once done all i have to do is lay the fiber between them and squish the layers together.... there's no way that they wont fit perfect after that, as all the extra material will be on the inside, while on the outside it will line up perfect...

Make something similar to the "Aerospoiler" for the 03+ SX guys, and try to make sure it fits the SRT-D as well, I want an SRT-D fascia, but hate the lack of a lip...

thats why i want custom ones that dont stick out 3". Just some almost flat ones. Theyre very functional as well, allowing the window to be opened while its raining (believe it or not, this is very beneficial IMO). Also, with the right design, they could have aero properties as well, allowing air to flow over the visors instead if being pulled into the open window, which we know to create a drag effect. just a few ideas. :)

i have though about it for a long time.... i wanna find a way to use the stock brackets without needing cores though, otherwise the actual skin of the roof glass is VERY easy to do; i'll have something for you by the end of summer
I was going to say this also. Ive mentioned a sunroof glass delete pannel for years now to everyone who has made CF peices. I like your idea of using stock mounting/frames without taking cores. Id be willing to pay $$ for one.

Though, if I happend to come across a core any time soon. I will buy it and send it to you for R&D and such.

$200 canadian, or roughly $180 american, when done... i cant make them out of cf yet since there's such a shortage of it right now, but i've put in 2 large orders with 2 suppliers, so as soon as one comes through i'll be able to make them out of cf too, for about $300 canadian, which is roughly $260-270 US right now... i know that at the moment these trunks are mostly for draggers, and i know that only a few people here are at the point where 20lbs saved is a big thing for them, but i wanted more to let you know that cheap cf trunks, and even cheaper cf overlay skinns are actually in the near future, and have the potential to come out really good :)

here's what i was on about... basically, i'll make a 2 layer outer shell, and a 2 layer inner shell just like this... then i'll come over it with 2 layers wrapping both pieces together... this leaves one smooth piece... or so i hope

this is what the inside of the trunk will look like when you open it

this is the other side of it, which wont be visible but which sets the shape
