;-) its a secret!

ok, no actually, i just used superglue and a little elbow grease...

here's a FAST how to...

first, take your superglue, and put a bead along the edge(ON THE FABRIC), press and hold the vinyl in place until its stuck

next, put a bead on the opposite side of the insert, pull the vinyl tight, and wrap arould the edge so when it holds, it holds the vinyl tight

once you have that done, work your way around in small sections, about 1"-3" at a time, glueing and pulling tight, this will contour the vinyl around the bends

once you have the whole thing glued down, take a SHARP razor blade and trim off the excess

now glue the whole thing back in place(i have yet to do this)

use a drill bit and drill out the melts, then take a screwdriver and kinda bang on the insert through the hole...

by the way MAKE SURE YOU DONT DRILL THROUGH THE INSERT!!!!!

Krylon Fusion for Plastics

word to the wise, dont use it on your dash cover or center armrest, it doesnt like to dry on vinyl, all the plastics dried in under 15 minutes, the armrest is still tacky over 8 hours later...

I used 3m body tape. I had a problem w/ one of the rear door inserts staying on, but I dont know what the body shop did to fix it. They just fixed it for me w/out saying anything, which is more than fine w/ me :)

Was the paint wet in the first pics? The finished product looks 100 times better. What happened to all the glaring high gloss? It looks normal now.

How bad was it getting the handles out? Also, how did you put them back in? I've heard that you have to drill out plastic welds to get them out, then figure out on your own the best way to put them back. I have been friggin dying to do this to my car for so long.

Wow, at first I didn't like it, paint looked like it was going to be super-shiny, but i guess it flattened out after it dried. Very nice, indeed.

well, to best explain how i did it, yes, there are melts you have to drill out, but there are posts not melted either, melt these posts down to hold the handle in place again.....

i'll take pics of the last door panel i have to tear down to better explain...
