SRT4 Rims on 03 SX 2.0?

Post by MorganCroft » Sat May 27, 2006 8:09 pm

I tried doing a search:) But unfortunately it brought up nothing useful.

Just as the Subject states, will SRT4 Rims and Tires fit on an 03 neon? The tires are stock as well. (205/50/17). Thanks for your time.

If they will not fit is there anything that needs to be done? Thanks.

I've read before that they won't fit using the stock tires. You'll need smaller tires. But wait for someone else's advise since I haven't actually tried this.

Alright, thank you...
And to whomever knows, if I would need a smaller size, what would be appropriate? 205/40/17?

u need to use smaller tires, the two most popular sizes used with srt rims are

205/40/17
215/40/17

the reason u need to use a smaller tires is the fact that the srt strut perches are about a 1/4 " higher then a regular neon, allowing for the "taller" tire clearance.

I'm using P205/40R17 General Exclaim UHP tires. They aren't bad, grip pretty good, very quiet, and have a good tread rating too.

If you don't want to buy new tires, you can also go the route of picking up some spacers for your hub. I wouldn't suggest using spacers unless you buy some longer wheel studs, and get rid of the lock pins that hold them in place.

215/40-17 = 23.8" overall diameter
205/45-17 = 24.3"
