Problem with Foglight or Switch possibly...

Hey,

How do I know when the multifunction switch needs replacing? Here is the problem that I am having... The foglights work when they are used as DRLs (Im in Canada), but the switch itself doesn't work. When I have the headlights on (Not Brights), and pull the foglight switch.. Nothing happens... The fogs do not turn on... And the indicator light on the dash does not turn on.I am going to take apart the cover to take a look at the multifunction switch. Is there anything that I am looking for in particular? I am not sure why it would be doing this. One other thing I noticed when I had the knee bolster off the other day is that there is a connector that isn't plugged into anything. I am not sure what it is for or if it should be plugged into something. The colours of the wires that the connector has are: White with Pink stripe, and Blue with White stripe. If anyone has had this problem before or knows of a solution. Let me know. Thanks!

for starter, the multifunction switch has a pigtail that comes across the top of the column, second: its common for the switch to go bad too....
As for the extra pigtail, for now you got me....

Well, I took a look at the wiring harness as I noticed it is quite common for them to melt.. Thankfully mine was not melted... A new switch is being shipped to me, so I will find out if that is the problem. Hopefully it will resolve the issue:)
