mac noob here

my roomate bought a cheap imac off ebay and i have barely used one and he basically never has...

my ? is can you run aim on it or can you run another program where it allows you to im aim users?

i tried d/ling aim but i try to open it from the installer and it just says like select program to open with or what not

Requirements Mac OS 9.x/Mac OS X 10.1

That runs on mac, not sure if thats your version of OS or not though.

That is the program that I use. What version of OSX are you using? To check, click on the Apple logo (located at the top left hand corner of the screen) and select, "About this Mac"

Click on Software Update. It is right under where you clicked on "About This Mac"
