eibach sportline

Well i have someone selling me there 1 month old eibach sportlines for 100 bux...im not 100% if i want them..all i knw is that the drop is badass, and they are stiff..dont knw how the ride is,and chicago does have holes and uneven streets...buy or dont buy??

oh and i do have the kyb gr2 struts and complete bushing kit on the car installed

probably should buy just cause of the price...but don't install them. if you have potholes, you'll hate yourself.

I have the pro kit, looks way better then stock, plus the handling is much much better, but pot holes are brutal. I feel ever crack in the road now.

100 is a great deal for near new ones, but its quite a big drop and pretty stiff fro what ive heard.

hmmmm thats no good then, what strut works good with em, are there any good lowering springs that will work with the stock struts aside from the srt's which i already have

you'd prob wanna go with some struts that are meant to be used with super low springs. the sportlines are good for like over 2" drop. Not sure if eibach makes their struts for our cars, but theyre tuned to be used with their prokit and sportlines, respectively. any aftermarket strut would do, but it might not last forever!

thats true of course, but any aftermarket strut will usually outlast the stock counterpart, not to mention provide a much more performance oriented ride quality that the stock strut isnt designed to do.

The Eibach Sportlines have been designed for the SRT-4. I have posted spring rates and other info here straight from Eibach Technical Support. Yes, you will need a beefy aftermarket strut. The GR-2 is slightly better than OEM and might last a while. ACR dynamic struts, Koni's, Tokico Illuminas, and others of this price-range/caliber will last as they are MADE FOR ROAD-RACING.
I have had the Sportlines on and off my car for well over a year/20K miles. They are badass. DO NOT USE THEM WITH CACA OEM STRUTS, the Sportlines will murder them quickly.
I doubt that my puny California potholes rival the gaping abyss of any Chicago-snow-salt-damaged street, but we have ENDLESS road construction here. My car does fine.
If you are a performance addict and your biggest thrill is doubling and tripling the speed limits around corners.....buy them...then save up for some badass struts and turn that vehicle into a four-wheeled razor-blade...

For $100, its a killer deal.

I've got the sportlines on my car with the stock srt struts. Handling is way better, but the ride is way worse.

I live in downtown Atlanta, and potholes aren't repaired around here untill they are at least 2 years old. Every bump is dramatic and bottoming out happens often.

In other words I can't wait to upgrade to new struts! Although the stock srt's have been holding up well for almost 10k miles now.

The adjustable tokiko's are definately the way to go for me, but yeah, the price does suck. Especially now that I gradutated from Georgia State last month, I'm not gettin' anymore student loans.

got sportlines too as everyone has said it has a huge drop. but you sacrifice ride quality but youd be stupid not to know that sportlines are for performance not luxury. combined with good sway bars you can take any turn until you slide out your seat.

i agree with the ouchiness of the eibachs. had them on my 96 and on my 01 currently. Get bg springs. I sell and install eibachs, suspension tech , bg, tokico, and progress at my one of my jobs and i hear more praise from people on the bg's . eibachs are stiff but great on smooth pavement( where the suspension doesnt do anything anyways) Dont beleive the crap about your stock struts will blow out on you. The possibility is there but more than not you'll just have a terrible harshness when hitting bumps in the road. With eibachs you could probably feel a dime if you ran it over.
