secondary runners?

umm ive been hearing about this and what is this secondary runner stuff?

01-04 Magnum 2.0s have a dual runner intake setup, kinda like a 4barrel carburator...the secondaries open up around 4800rpm @ full throttle. Out of that range then it uses the primary runners...

They are also open prior to 3k rpm - it sounds really nice at those rpms when you have a CAI.

In case you were going to ask, I do not think you have the magnum engine, based on the SRT-D front I see in your avatar. (I think that is only 05) and to tell for sure, look at your intake mani and see if it is plastic or metal.

04 was the last year for the mag motor, 05 is the only year for the SRT-D..

oh ok ya its a plastic intake manifold and yes its a 2005 but ya i did some looking today and im going with the magnaflow catback

whoa kinda went in a totally differnt direction here...what does the magnaflow catback have to do with your intake manifold

secondarys are not on the exhuast manifold or exhuast... there on the intake.... im confused now...lmao!
