Go around a good corner moderately fast, pull the e-brake as hard as you can while stepping on the gas at the same time, and right before you smash into that huge tree, you'll be drifting!

I swear, the only thing sadder than the ricers that worship those movies is the fact that the real drivers in that movie will never get any recognition.

Nawwzz doesn't exist. NOS is a brand by Holley.

Underglow kits do not make your car faster.

And for the love of God, if you think your Supra is faster than a 440 Mopar, I suggest you put your theories to the test and bring an extra engine with you so you're not stranded afterwards.

Phew, ok I'm done.

you can promote massive oversteer and skid around (but most likely thru) a corner :P

but as everyone else said....

i agree with drifting being gay but that is drifting and it is being done right...

Drifting refers either to a driving technique utilizing a difference in slip angle between the front and rear tires of a car, or to a sport based on the technique; this article deals primarily with the sport. When the rear wheels are slipping at a greater angle than the front wheels, the car is drifting or oversteering. The rear end of the car appears to chase the front end around a turn, the driver utilizes both front tires and the rear tires to control the actual direction of the car. More throttle induces more rear wheel slip angle and the rear of the car wants to overtake the front. The goal is for the driver to achieve opposite lock and use the throttle to fine tune the car's angle and direction.

^ We used to "drift" my 68 Dart GTS in my High School Parking lot. We called it "getting squirrelly". That is where I learned to do a Rockford. (Look it up kids...) Drifting was invented by rednecks on dirt ovals....not bored Japanese tuners playing burnout ballet in their RWD Datsuns.
And yes, the "6" in the video was drifting beautifully...of course it wasn't drifting cuz there isn't a giant wing on the car...duh.

I have ridden in a couple pretty bad ass Supra's that were definitely faster than 440 lead sled's that had simple bolt ons and that was not cornering comparison but a 1320 run comparison.

Now that being said a 440 is still a better ride in my opinion. Would love a 440 Challenger( or HEMI, not to picky there).

And yes if seen a Civic gone drifting, not as spectacular as RWD or AWD but hey you have to play with what you got right???

1. This, as neonpla said, is def the gayest thread ever! haha

2. Drifting in a FWD car is indeed possible, its just much different than drifting in a RWD car. A civic drift car was campaigned for a bit a few years ago, and it was built somehow to drift with FWD. Most people get powerslides confused with drifts (ebrake slides), which is similar, but not drifting by definition.

3. A supra with a few mild mods would OWN pretty much any stock older muslce car, even with an engine twice its size. Drag, time attack, drift, autox. 1000+RWHP supras are no joke either, but a 500hp supra would lay waste to most rust buckets with ease.

Biggest reason right there not to do any burnouts or so called 'drifting'... you'll pay for it.

Guess all the pros in the videos who use quick ebrake pulls to initiate drifts and to maintain angle are just really a bunch of noobs who dont know what theyre doing then? using the ebrake it a drift fundamental, but ONLY using the ebrake is not drifting at all.

maybe if there "perfect" just as OB said most use the ebrake to correct themselves....
