do i need to get a new K&N (different size) for the ebay intake i just bought or will the one i have in place for the stocker work?

it might work... if it dosen't match the diameter, you could always get an adapter for it from a hardware store.

Hmmm... it might be a tight fit. I'd say it might work as far as fitting in the fender well.

It will fit fine. The filter I was using was quite a bit larger than the stock one. K&N drop-in should be identical size to the stock filter. You'll just have to loosen the inner fender well lining, and slide it up from underneath. The 2.5" ID should also fit fine (I know -- as I have experience with this CAI:) ) I never had to completely remove the fender well lining, or tire/wheel when I added/removed it.

Do you still have the huge air silencer box in the fender? This was really tight, but I still was able to get it out w/o removing the wheel/tire.
